Regional Development Office at FSU To Open This Summer

A state investment of $300,000 announced last fall to establish a new Office of Regional Development and Engagement at Frostburg State University will come to fruition this summer with a planned opening date set.  The purpose of the office is to further encourage economic development in Western Maryland; to help capitalize on the research of the FSU faculty and to partner with local businesses to grow the regional economy.  FSU President Ronald Nowaczyk said that as the state’s only comprehensive higher education institution in Western Maryland, Frostburg State University is uniquely positioned and staffed to serve as a catalyst for economic growth throughout the region…
