North Carolina Female arrested for Assault at Local Restaurant

On Friday, December 30th, 2022, the Cumberland City Police responded to a business in the 100 block of South Centre St for the report of an assault. Upon arrival, officers contacted an employee outside the business who directed their attention towards an intoxicated female suspect. Officers attempted to contact and detain the female who began yelling at officers and attempting to leave. The female was then by officers that she was not free to leave and was being placed under arrest. The female then resisted arrest and assaulted two police officers. The investigation revealed that the female was causing multiple disturbances inside the business prior to officer’s arrival on scene. It was reported that the female started yelling at other patrons and attempting to start fights. After the female successfully assaulted one patron, she was asked to leave by staff. She then assaulted that staff member and threw a glass at another employee. She was then escorted from the property by staff. As a result, Carroll Christian Miller, 52, of Greensboro NC, was arrested and taken to police headquarters for processing. She was then taken before the District Court Commissioner for her Initial Appearance where she was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center. She is currently being held on $5,000 bond.
