West Virginia State Police recently conducted a major drug bust in the southern part of the state. Mercer County law enforcement intercepted 15 firearms and several kinds of drugs during a month-long search, including 70 pounds of crystal meth and 54 pounds of fentanyl worth over $825,000. Governor Patrick Morrisey told reporters the find was extremely lethal and dangerous, underscoring the seriousness of the state drug crisis…
“The State Police and law enforcement in Mercer County executed one of the single largest drug busts in state history, and it seized enough fentanyl to kill more than 12 million people. That’s about seven times the population of West Virginia.”
