Opioid Deaths Locally & Statewide Decline

The Maryland Opioid Operational Command Center has released the third quarter numbers concerning the battle against addiction.

There is good news to report locally.  In the first nine months of 2019, there were 18 opioid overdose deaths.  That’s down 11 from the 29 recorded in 2018 during the same period of time.

Statewide, the news is better as well, with overdose deaths down slightly from the same period a year ago.
