Lawyers found more classified documents at Biden’s home
WASHINGTON (AP) — Lawyers for President Joe Biden found more classified documents at his home in Wilmington, Delaware, than previously known, the White House acknowledged Saturday. White House lawyer Richard Sauber said in a statement that a total of six pages of classified documents were found during a search of Biden's private library. The White House had said previously that only a single page was found there. Moore, a Democrat, will be sworn in as Maryland’s new governor in ceremonies next week in Annapolis. On January 13th, 2023 officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Amanda Speller. The Criminal Summons stemmed from an assault that occurred on January 11th, 2023 in the 900 block of Maryland Avenue. Speller Singed for her Criminal Summons and awaits her trial at the District Court. Arrest: Amanda Rebecca Speller, age 32, Cumberland Maryland. Charge: Assault Second Degree.
Theft Arrest
On January 13th, 2023 an officer of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the teen block of Queen City Drive for a reported shop lifting. Upon officer’s arrival they spoke with spoke with a business employee who advised that Ashley Silvious had taken items from the store without paying. Silvious was issued a Criminal Citation for theft and released pending her trial at District Court. Arrest: Ashley Marie Silvious, age35, Cumberland Maryland. Charge: Theft Less than $100.
Gov. Larry Hogan pardons man who spent more than decade on death row
Gov. Larry Hogan on Friday pardoned a man who spent more than a decade on death row. WBAL reports John Huffington was convicted in 1981 on two counts of first-degree murder in Caroline County and was sentenced to death. Huffington's sentence was reversed on appeal in 1982, and he was granted a new trial, which was transferred to Frederick County. That trial resulted in his conviction in 1983 on murder, robbery and gun charges. He was again sentenced to death plus prison time. Huffington's convictions were vacated and he was released from prison in 2013 pending a new trial. In April…

Maryland Gov.-elect Wes Moore (D) has named six more department heads to his cabinet,with an eye toward making it the most diverse collection of top state officials ever.
