May was last seen in the area of Kemp Drive, Frostburg, MD on today's date at approximately 1:30p.m. May is described as a white male, 6-2, 165lbs, wearing blue jean pants, a red plaid flannel shirt, and possibly a grey vest. On Saturday, officers of the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Brittany Sue Dicks. The Criminal Summons was issued by the District Court stemming from an incident on March 19th, 2021. During the incident Officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a Willowbrook Road address for a report of unattended young children left in vehicle parked in a parking garage with temperatures being less than 50 degrees. Upon officers arrival they located the children, who were not dressed appropriately for the weather, and spoke with witnesses to the incident. On Saturday, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 400 block of Seymour Street for a reported disturbance. Upon the officers arrival they observed Eric Eugene Miller II strike a victim in the face with his hand. Officers then placed Miller under arrest for assault second degree. Miller was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was released on his own recognizance. Arrest: Eric Eugene Miller, age 32, Cumberland Maryland. Charge: Assault Second Degree.
We continue to be in brush fire season, as a number of Allegany County units were dispatched to Beans Cove Road, in southern Bedford County,Saturday afternoon to help battle a large brush fire there. There will continue to be a danger of such fires for the next few weeks until trees and bushes start to green up during early spring.

Maryland state lawmakers are considering legislation to prohibit charging a child younger than 13 with a crime. WBAL reports the bill is the product of two years of study, and it's designed to keep kids away from the court and place them in diversion programs, rather than jail. The legislation does not include violent crimes, like murder, carjacking and rape. On Friday officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 700 block of Memorial Avenue for a reported suspicious vehicle. Upon officers arrival they spoke with the two occupants, Remington Colt Arnold and Mystere Jo Wells, and observed the vehicle to be displaying a registration from another vehicle. The officers requested a K-9 to conduct a scan of the vehicle which indicated a positive alert. Officers conducted a search of the vehicle, where capsules of suspected heroin, a baggie of heroin, hypodermic syringes, and numerous denominations of counterfeit currency. Maryland drivers saw another week with gas price average increases as high crude prices and growing refinery utilization — which increased from 69 to 76 percent last week according to new data from the Energy Information Administration (EIA) — helped to push prices higher. However, increased gasoline stocks and a decrease in demand have helped to slow the rate at which prices have increased.
