Willowbrook Road Trespassing arrest
On Sunday, January 19, 2025 at approximately 6:31 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a facility on Willowbrook Rd. for a disturbance involving Malik Freeman. Police contacted the staff who advised that Freeman was refusing to leave the property. Officers ordered Freeman numerous times to leave the property. Freeman still refused at which time he was placed under arrest. He was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial. Virginia Avenue Theft arrest
On Sunday, January 19, 2025 at approximately 3:56 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business in the 400 block of Virginia Avenue for a theft complaint. When police arrived, they contacted the staff who advised that the suspect stole merchandise from the store and was harassing other customers. Officers contacted the suspect who was identified as Jason Winfield. After further investigation, Winfield was issued a criminal citation and released pending trial. With the 2025 filing season quickly approaching, the Internal Revenue Service encourages taxpayers to take key steps now to prepare for when they file their 2024 federal income tax returns.
