Parrot Contemplating District 6 Run

July 11th, 2023 by WCBC Radio

Neil Parrot is hoping the third time’s a charm as he contemplates running for the 6th District Congressional seat being vacated by David Trone.  Feeling that he has gained familiarity with the voters, Parrot feels he now has the advantage to run a winning campaign.  He has set up an exploratory committee of family, consultants, and volunteers to help him vet his decision on entering the race.  He has run for the 6th District seat in the previous two elections without success but now thinks the time may be right…

Parrot notes that voters are facing many of the same issues that were important in the last election, including police support and education choices…

Congressman David Trone is pursuing the US Senate Seat of Ben Cardin who is retiring.  Parrot says he has no firm date set for a decision, but it will probably be announced in the fall.  Parrot raised a million dollars for his last campaign but says he thinks he will need between $3-5 million for this election.
