Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic for those 12 and older set for June 8th

The Allegany County Health Department will hold a walk-in COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Willowbrook Office Complex (WOC) in the ground floor Community Room (12501 Willowbrook Road, Cumberland) on Tuesday, June 8th from 1 to 6 p.m.  This clinic is open to those ages 12 and older and will offer the Pfizer COVID vaccine.  No appointment is necessary, but adolescents ages 12 to 17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

 

On Tuesday, June 15th, the health department will hold a walk-in clinic offering the Moderna COVID vaccine to those ages 18 and older.  That clinic will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Community Room of the WOC building.

 

In Allegany County, 25,566 residents have received their first dose of a two-dose vaccine against COVID-19 (36.3% of the population), with 22,526 of those individuals now fully vaccinated with their second dose (32.0% of the population).  The number of residents who have received the single-dose Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) vaccine is 2,690 (3.8%).

 

By comparison, the state reported that 53.9% of all Marylanders had received their first dose of a two-dose vaccine, with 45.1% having had both doses and 4.0% vaccinated with the single-dose vaccine.
