Police make drug, indecent exposure arrests

On June 4, the Cumberland Police Department served an Arrest Warrant on Bonita Jean Marie Quick of Cumberland, MD.  The Arrest Warrant was issued on June 1, 2021, after Quick failed to appear in District Court on an initial charge of Failing to Comply with a Peace Order.  Quick was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on her personal recognizance.

 

Arrested:  Bonita Jean Marie Quick, 49 of Cumberland, MD

 

Charges:  Failure to Appear

 

 

Criminal Summons Served

 

The Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Maria Frances Marchisella of Cumberland, MD.  The charges stemmed after an officer conducted a traffic stop in which Marchisella was operating a vehicle at a speed greater than the posted speed limit and did not possess a valid driver’s license.  Marchisella was served with the Criminal Summons and released pending her appearance in District Court.

 

Arrested:  Maria Frances Marchisella, 35 of Cumberland, MD

 

Charges:  Driving on a suspended out of state license

 

 

Criminal Summons Served

 

The Cumberland Police Department served a Criminal Summons on Michael Gage Butler of Cumberland, MD.  The charges stemmed after an officer located 4 clear capsules containing a white powder in the possession of Butler.  The capsules were sent to the Crime Lab for further testing and determined to be a mixture of Fentanyl and Heroin.  Butler was served with the Criminal Summons and released pending his appearance in District Court.

 

Arrested:  Michael Gage Butler, 26 of Cumberland, MD

 

Charges:  CDS possession not Marijuana (2X)

 

 

Adult Arrest

 

 The Cumberland Police Department responded in front of a business on Union Street for an Indecent Exposure complaint.  Upon arrival, officers spoke with the complainant and were advised that a male, identified as Melvin Eugene Mumma, had unzipped his pants and exposed himself to the complainant while on the sidewalk in front of the business.  Officers located Mumma in the area of Emily Street and took him into custody without incident.  Mumma was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance and released on his personal recognizance.

Charges:  Indecent Exposure and Disorderly Conduct
