On Wednesday officers of the Cumberland Police Department conducted patrols in the area of The Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, which has areas posted “No Trespassing.” The officer’s located Robert Wayne Shears to be in an area posted no trespassing. Shears was then issued a Criminal Citation and released pending his trial at District Court.
Arrest: Robert Wayne Shears, age 52, Cumberland Maryland
Charges: Trespassing.
On July 21st, 2022 officers of the Cumberland Police Department conducted patrols in the area of George Washington Headquarters and located Melony Lynn Melvin to be setting up a camp. The officers advised Melvin that she needed to leave the area or be arrested for trespassing. Officers later checked the area to ensure she had left, but located her in the same place. Melvin was issued a Criminal Citation and released pending her trial at District Court.
Arrest: Melony Lynn Melvin, age 39, Cumberland Maryland
Charge: Trespassing.
