Police Serve Warrant on Man Linked to Missing Child

On Saturday at approximately the Cumberland City Police responded to the 400 block of Virginia Avenue to assist the Maryland State Police in attempting to locate a missing juvenile. Officers spoke to Christopher David Shrader at the residence. Mr. Shrader denied any knowledge of the missing subject and provided false information to officers on scene. Officer conducted several follow ups and were able to find several credible witnesses that stated the missing juvenile was with Mr. Shrader. Sunday a family member of Mr. Shrader advised the missing juvenile and Mr. Shrader were at a residence in LaVale but had left prior to police arrival. At approximately 2:30 PM on Sunday officers responded back to Mr. Shrader’s residence on Virginia Avenue. At that time the missing juvenile was located. Mr. Shrader was located shortly after but suffered a medical emergency and was transported to the hospital. The Cumberland City Police applied for charges through the District Court. As a result of the investigation a warrant was issued for the arrest of Mr. Shrader. On Wednesday the warrant was served and Mr. Shrader was arrested without further issue. Mr. Shrader was taken before a District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Charges – Contribute to the Conditions of a Child, 3 counts each of False Statement to an Officer, Obstructing and Hindering

    THIS is not the first time for this. He did same thing in high school with younger girls.
