Police serve warrant, summons

On Friday, November 24, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department served a Circuit Court bench warrant on Marquise Carpenter.  The bench warrant was issued as a result of a grand jury indictment.  Carpenter was arrested and processed.  He was held at the Allegany County Detention Center without bail.

ORIGINAL CHARGE: CDS: Possess Marijuana

 

 

On Friday, November 24, 2017, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Dustin Beal. The summons was issued in connection with an investigation that was initiated on November 22, 2017.  On this date just prior to 9:00 AM, police responded to a Frederick Street residence in reference to a disturbance.   Officers contacted the victim who reported that she was assaulted by Beal who had left prior to police arrival.  The victim advised that Beal threw a bowl of cereal at her and pushed her to the floor.  The victim had sustained minor injuries.  After investigation, charges against Beal were filed by police at District Court and a summons was issued.  Beal was released after being served.
