Queen City Bar-Athalon, a new event concept created by Mezzos owner Dan Bowser, will take place at noon today in downtown Cumberland. The Downtown Development Commission (DDC) is sponsoring the event. Local establishments Mezzos, Fore Axes, JZ's Pub, and Centre Street Collective will build four teams of five players each to compete in a traveling competition of skill with axe throwing, darts, bowling and corn hole. Each winning team member will receive a $50 gift card to a downtown establishment. The entry fee is $15 per person and the event is for those 21 or older.
