Questions On Edwards Fund Closed Sessions

Recently questions have arisen concerning the procedures followed by the board of the Senator George Edwards Fund.  The board has met four times since August, each time moving into closed sessions, discussing applicant information or personnel issues.  A source has reached out to WCBC indicating that the rules of Maryland’s Open Meetings or “Sunshine Laws” are being violated.  WCBC spoke with Senator Mike McKay, a non-voting member of the Edwards board and he says the board is operating within the rules when discussing topics in closed sessions…
