A newer resident of the City was at the most recent Cumberland Mayor and City Council meeting where he got to hear about the growing vagrancy situation around the historic George Washington’s Headquarters area. During the meeting, a the Daughters of the American Revolution put forth an option of leasing the land from the city to provide an answer to policing the area. The new resident, Peter Cooper of Washington Street, also spoke to the council with his suggestion for those who witness illegal actions taking place there or elsewhere in the city…
