Rocky Gap Casino Resort, located at 16701 Lakeview Road NE in Rocky Gap State Park, has kicked off its fifth annual food donation drive to benefit the Western Maryland Food Bank (WFMB), accepting donations now through Sunday, Nov. 20.
In exchange for donating any non-perishable food item, all True Rewards members will receive one ticket for their chance to win $2,000 in free slot play, limited to one food item per guest, per promotional day. All items will be collected near the entrance of the casino. As an alternative to donating food items, players may donate 1,000 to 100,000 points at the casino cashier and donated points will be converted to a cash donation at the end of the month.
Since 1983, the WFMB has worked to enhance food rescue and food distribution systems in Western Md., addressing invisible hunger in the community. The non-profit distributes food to local organizations and member agencies, including church pantries, day care centers, on-site feeding programs, emergency assistance organizations and more, serving more than 10,000 individuals monthly. Players are invited to sign up for True Rewards, Golden Entertainment’s rewards program, to receive bonuses including increased point multipliers, prizes such as cash and free slot play, as well as eligibility in select tournaments and special events.
