Senator Mike McKay had been waiting along with everyone else in Western Maryland on an answer from FEMA about disaster funding for the Georges Creek area.  When the answer came Thursday morning, the denial of the appeal was a disappointment to everyone.  McKay said that the way FEMA looks at providing funds to the states has been changing…

    

“During the Biden administration, FEMA has been saying the states do need to start preparing to take care of these disasters. They need to take more of the responsibility of paying for it.”
