On 01/24/2023, at approximately 1320 hours, Deputies were dispatched to the area of National Highway in LaVale Maryland for a reported motor vehicle crash. While conducting an investigation on scene, Deputies observed several factors consistent with criminal activity being displayed by the operator of the at fault vehicle for the motor vehicle crash. Deputies then spoke with this subject further, and determined he was in possession of controlled dangerous substances, and controlled dangerous substance paraphernalia. The suspect was then placed under arrest, and a search of his person was conducted. During this search, Deputies located an additional quantity of controlled dangerous substances believed to be crack cocaine. Pursuant to the investigation, Deputies arrested and charged Guy Daniel Miller, age 37, of Grantsville MD with the following:
- CDS POSS NOT CANNABIS
- CDS POSS W/INT DIST NARC
- CDS POSS Paraphernalia
- Additional traffic related offenses
