Sheriff’s Department Busy With Warrant Arrests

Lawrence Arthur White II, 41 of Cumberland, was served two (2) Warrants out of Baltimore County Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation. He is a Maryland Parole Retake and is being held on a detainer pending transport to Baltimore County.

Perry Nelson Hamilton Jr., 43 of Cumberland, was served a District Court Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation. His original conviction was for CDS: Possession–Not Marijuana where he received 190-day sentence with 150 days suspended with 2-years of Supervised Probation. He is being held without bond pending a bail review in District Court.

Jovan Brewer, 43 of Cumberland, was served a Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Violation of Pretrial Release. His original charges include Violation of Probation after conviction on Assault-Second Degree where he was sentenced to 8-years with all but 4-years suspended and 4-years of supervised probation. He is being held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Melissa Dawn Congrove, 35 of Cumberland, was served a Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear. Her original charges conviction was for Conspiracy-Theft $1,500 to Under $25,000 where she received a suspended sentence of 3-years and 5-years supervised probation. She was released on her own recognizance

Andrea Nicole Frostburg, 41 of Cumberland, was served a District Court Bench Warrant for Violation of Probation. Her original conviction was for Theft Less than $100 where she entered a guilty plea and received a Probation Before Judgement (PBJU) and 50 hours of adult community service. She was released on a $100 bond.

Sheila Marie Cappadona. 53 of Cumberland, was served a District Court Bench Warrant Violation of Probation. Her original conviction is for Fail To Obey Reasonable and Lawful Order where she received a 60 day suspended sentence and 12-months unsupervised probation. She was released on her own recognizance in this matter.

Michael Kerren Swick III, 20 of Cumberland, was served five (5) Circuit Court Bench Warrants for Violation of Probation, Failure To Comply, and Violation of Pre-Trial Release. His violation was due to Swick cutting off the court ordered Level 3 GPS tracking monitor he was obligated to wear and keep charged at all times to monitor his whereabouts. Swick was recently placed on the Allegany County Most Wanted List on February 28, 2024. On 03/20/24 at approximately 7:30 PM members of the Allegany County Combined Warrant Unit received information that Michael Kerren Swick was staying at a residence on Waverly Terrace in Cumberland. The Warrant Unit was assisted by the Sheriff's Office Patrol and Cumberland Police Department. Officers surrounded the residence before trying to make contact with the occupants inside the home. Upon the Warrant Unit knocking on the door, Swick fled out the back door of the residence in an attempt to flee. When Swick encountered law enforcement officers in the backyard, he ran to the north and attempted to jump over a fence. Officers quickly caught him and placed him under arrest. Swick was transported to the Allegany County Detention where he is currently being held without bond awaiting a bond hearing in Circuit Court. There are additional charges being filed by Cumberland Police on Swick for Resisting Arrest

Leonard Brenton Sorrells II, 38 of Cumberland, was served a Circuit Court Bench Warrant for Failure to Appear for a Violation of Probation hearing. His original conviction was for Driving, Attempting to Drive Vehicle While Under the Influence of Alcohol where he received a 6-month suspended sentence and 2-years supervised probation. He was released on his own recognizance.

Sheila Marie Cappadona, 53 of Cumberland, was served a District Court Arrest Warrant for Violation of Protective Order, Trespass: Private Property, Violation Release Conditions-Crime Violence, and Violation of Release Conditions – Personal Eligible Relief. She was released on a $15,000 Unsecured Personal Bond (UPB).
