December 23rd, 2022 by WCBC Radio

As wind gusts strengthened on Friday, power outages and downed tress have been reported across Maryland. WBAL reports temperatures dropped by as much as 17 degrees since early Friday morning as an Arctic front sweeps through Maryland. Wind gusts are around 40-50 mph, and the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory, saying gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Sub-zero wind chills are forecast for the evening and into the weekend. As of 3:30 p.m. on Friday, just over 62,000 customers were without power.
