Suspects Sought in Baltimore Street Attempted Burglary

On January 1, 2022 officers from the Cumberland Police Department responded to a business on Baltimore St for a report of an attempted burglary.

Upon arrival officers met with the complainant, who advised that he was woken up by a male trying to open the window to his apartment, which is above the business. When the male suspect saw the complainant inside, he jumped from the landing ran away with another male. The suspect was wearing all black with his hood up and wearing a surgical mask. Through the investigation, officers observed that the suspect(s) had tampered with the electrical boxes, cutting the wires. After checking nearby video footage, they observed a male wearing camouflage jacket and dark pants, jumping from the landing to the apartment in the early morning hours. He was seen running from the area.

About 15 minutes later a different male is seen on the video, pacing near the building. He was wearing all black with white tennis shoes. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland Police at (301) 777-1600.
