On May 7th, 2023 at approximately 7:40 pm officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 30 block of Queen City Drive for a report of a male tampering with a vehicle in the parking lot. Upon officer’s arrival they spoke with a witness who advised Matthew Zink had been tampering with a motor vehicle. Officers were able to locate Zink near bye and when they advised him to stop, he began to run from officers. Officers were able to place Zink under arrest and he was taken before a District Court Commissioner where he was held on a $1,000 bond.
Arrest: Matthew Schafer Zink, age 39, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Tampering with Motor Vehicle, Obstructing and Hindering
