“Shop Maryland Energy Weekend” will return from February 17 to February19. Maryland waives the 6% sales tax for qualifying Energy Star products, helping consumers save money while investing in the environment. The sales tax exemption applies to both new and used qualifying products purchased online or in-person. Energy Star products include washers and dryers, furnaces, standard refrigerators, and programmable thermostats. Switching to energy-efficient appliances can also lead to some federal clean energy tax credits.
