There are now three candidates on file running for the office of Mayor of Cumberland in next years election- but to date the incumbent is not among them. Those having filed the paperwork include George Merling; Raymond Dye; and Lawrence Becker. Mayor Brian Grim has declined to say whether or not he will seek a third term, telling WCBC News that he simply hasn’t made up his mind. Although the name recognition alone that comes with being a two term incumbent might make Grim the favorite to win another term- he says he doesn’t view it that way…
