On Saturday, January 14th, 2023, The Cumberland City Police served Criminal Summonses on three individuals in reference to an assault that occurred on January 11th, 2023. During that incident, the Cumberland City Police responded to the 900 block of Grand Ave for the report of an assault. A victim in the incident alleged that they tried to leave the residence after conversations with the three individuals made them feel uncomfortable. While attempting to leave the residence, the three subjects held the victim down and assaulted them. As a result, criminal summonses were issued for the three subjects by the Allegany County District Court Commissioner. They were each served their charges and released, pending trial in District Court.
