After being inundated with requests, tonight’s town hall meeting focusing on the construction expected to begin on the downtown mall will be open to the general public. Initially the plan had been to only allow downtown residents and business owners to attend as they have a vested interest, but city officials and members of the Downtown Development Commission have decided to open the session to anyone interested or who may have questions about the $15 million project and the expected 18 month construction period. Councilwoman Laurie Marchini said that although this project has been discussed since 2015, there apparently are still plenty of questions…
Speaking during this week’s city council work session, Marchini said that Triton Construction has now confirmed April 3rd as the date on which work will begin…
