Two Busted For Assault, One For Disorderly Conduct

Officers from the Cumberland Police Department arrested Boston Andrew Butcher at a Willowbrook Road location.  Butcher had an active arrest warrant for a domestic assault incident which occurred earlier in the day on Greene Street in Cumberland, MD.  Butcher was transported to Police Headquarters for processing.  He was later transported to the District Court Commissioner’s Office for a hearing.  At the conclusion of the hearing Butcher was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center where he was held without bond.

Charge: Assault 2nd Degree  

Officers located Floyd Allen Brimhall at an Arch Street residence.  Brimhall had an active arrest warrant from a burglary complaint which was reported to the Cumberland Police Department on January 22, 2018.  The investigating officer to the incident charged Brimhall after completing his investigation.  District Court issued an arrest warrant on Brimhall which was served.  Brimhall was taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was held without bond.

Charges: Burglary 4th Degree, & Assault 2nd Degree (2 counts)

At approx. 2345hrs officers from the Cumberland Police Department were dispatched to a Baltimore Avenue residence for a disturbance.  Upon the arrival of officers they located large pieces of household furniture in the street and on the sidewalk.  Upon investigation it was discovered that Raymond Brent Sterling was arguing with several people in the building before throwing furniture out onto the street.  Officers talked with several other residents who were out due to the disturbance being caused by Sterling.   Officers placed Sterling under arrest without incident.  He was transported to Police Headquarters where he was issued a citation and released pending trail in District Court.
