Since December of 2022 when the Union Rescue Mission first acquired the former High Point Furniture property, plans have been advancing for construction of a new facility. Now those plans are coming to fruition as the mission plans to open doors on the project sometime in August. Pastor David Ziler shared with WCBC that the building purchased was perfect for the plans they had in mind…

   

“I don’t know if we could have planned a better building, even if we could have built it from the ground up I don’t know that it would have worked out better. It really is going to be amazing. I’m excited for our residents who are really working hard to get their life together; get things lined up in their life – that they have a place to kind of breathe.”
