Unite Music Festival Continues

August 7th, 2022 by WCBC Radio

Cumberland, MD, August 2022   Local churches, families and businesses are gearing up for another Unite Music Festival event set for Friday, August 26, at Central Assembly of God in Cumberland.  Gospel great Ernie Haase and Signature Sound will join K-Love recording artist Stars Go Dim, and local favorite, Generations

Doors will open at 4pm.  Food will be available for purchase.  Due to limited seating, individuals interested in attending must obtain a ticket by visiting unitemusicfest.com or calling (301) 707-3100.  The price of tickets is $20.00 in advance for adults and $25.00 at the door until sold out.  Students of any age will be admitted free of charge. Student tickets can also be obtained and printed from the website.

Following the Unite Music event will be the second annual “UNiter”, an all-night faith-based event for youth groups in the community.  UNiter will consist of the Word of God, food, activities, skating, bowling, and giveaways.  Cost per student is $25.00.  For more information or to register a youth group, contact Justin Warnick at (301) 876-5089/media@unitemusicfest.com.

“Our all-volunteer team works hard to make are events a hit with local families”, stated committee member Jim Jeffries. “This year we have one of the most recognized gospel acts in the country joining our program.  Ernie Haase finishes a show on a Thursday in Branson, Missouri and the very next day he will be here in Cumberland, Maryland.  In the wake of a pandemic season, we are also excited to be returning to Maryland and partnering with our friends at Central Assembly.  During the past two years, our program had to move to Pennsylvania.  We will be forever grateful to our friends at Tri-State Ministry Center and the Hyndman Campground for opening their church facilities to us.” continued Jeffries.

“As with all of our events, this year’s program is not being planned to replace any church’s worship or music ministry. We envision this program as an event that can be shared by any congregation,” stated committee volunteer Lem Crawford.

Event organizers wish to acknowledge the support of the Cumberland Area National Day of Prayer Inc. that serves as the fiscal agent for the Unite Music Festival.
