The hope is that all of the properties that are part of the Maryland Avenue Redevelopment Project can be transferred to Frederick-based developer Cumberland Gateway, LLC by June 1st. An update on what is more commonly known as the Rolling Mill project was presented during a public meeting Wednesday of the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation. The project includes removing 68 properties in the city's Rolling Mill neighborhood to create room for commercial development. Woody Gordon, a Cecilia Street resident who says he has no plans to sell his home, asked about rumors circulating in the community about the project.
