Update Presented On Rolling Mill Project During Public Meeting

The hope is that all of the properties that are part of the Maryland Avenue Redevelopment Project can be transferred to Frederick-based developer Cumberland Gateway, LLC by June 1st. An update on what is more commonly known as the Rolling Mill project was presented during a public meeting Wednesday of the Cumberland Economic Development Corporation.  The project includes removing 68 properties in the city's Rolling Mill neighborhood to create room for commercial development.  Woody Gordon, a Cecilia Street resident who says he has no plans to sell his home, asked about rumors circulating in the community about the project. One of those involves the McDonalds Restaurant at Rose’s Plaza on Queen City Drive possibly relocating to Williams Street…
