U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen joined postal workers on Capitol Hill during a rally to protest possible changes to the United States Postal Service under President Trump. The President said he may take control of the mail service which has operated independently from the federal government for over 50 years. “What they want to do is essentially make this a profit center for one of Donald Trump’s wealthy friends. And when you do that, the American people get hurt because what that means is their first priority is to make a buck for their stockholders and not deliver mail to the American people.”
