The Allegany County Commissioners took time out at their recent meeting to honor those employed by the county who have served in the military. The county’s Human Resources Director, Kristie Liller, read a statement ahead of Veterans Day to honor the employees for their service…
“A total of 23 Allegany County employees have identified themselves as veterans, with a combined total of 153 years of service, representing multiple branches. Allegany County Government would like to publicly express its sincere gratitude to all veterans for their unwavering commitment to country, justice, and democracy.”

A special recognition of Allegany County Employees who are Veterans took place at the November commission meeting. Kristie Liller, Director of Human Resources, opened the meeting by saying the County wanted to publically honor those employees and residents in the county who had served in the armed forces. Eligible County employees receive fifteen day of paid military leave on an annual basis for training purposes…
