On 02/23/2023 at approximately 10:00 PM the Cumberland City Police Department were dispatched to the 700 block of Baker Street for a violation of a protective order. Upon arrival officers contacted Michelle Porter inside the residence. Officers were informed that Porter had been served a protective order that ordered Porter not to be at that residence. Porter was placed under arrest and transported to the police station. Porter was then served a criminal summons for violating the protective order on 02/22/2023. On 02/22/2023 Porter had entered the same residence, destroyed property, and fled prior to police arriving. Porter was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center. At the time of this writing Porter is awaiting her initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
