On May 10th, 2023 at approximately 11:20 pm officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to the 100 block of West Industrial Boulevard for a reported assault. Upon officer’s arrival they spoke with the complainant, Christopher Bradshaw. Bradshaw alleged that individuals were blocking the roadway in the 400 block of Grand Avenue, and when he exited his vehicle to confront them, several of the individuals assaulted him. The officers continued their investigation and located witnesses, as well as an additional victim of the incident. After interviewing the witnesses, and the additional witnesses, it was learned that Bradshaw had exited his vehicle on Grand Avenue and began an argument with several individuals in the area. Bradshaw then attempted to strike a juvenile and a fight ensued. During the fight Bradshaw began to strangle the juvenile before witnesses were able to intervene, and Bradshaw had left the scene. Officers were able to observe evidence of the assault and through their investigation determined Bradshaw to be the aggressor in the fight. Bradshaw was placed under arrest and taken before a District Court Commissioner where he awaits his trial at District Court.
Arrest: Christopher Dale Bradshaw, age 24, Cumberland Maryland.
Charges: Assault First Degree, Assault Second Degree, Disorderly Conduct.
