Westbound Lanes of Interstate 68 have been reopened following an early morning tractor trailer fire which was caused by a blown tire. Allegany County Emergency Services supported by Washington County Fire Rescue responded to the fire after 3 a.m. Wednesday. Fire crews remained on scene till 4:30 a.m. The accident was turned over to Maryland State Police who remain on scene until the truck was removed from the interstate.
