Winter Weather Advisory until 09:00AM Tuesday

For the first Winter Weather Advisory, snow. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch. For the second Winter Weather Advisory, snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches with up to 6 inches along the western facing slopes from Backbone Ridge to the west. Winds gusting as high as 50 mph could result in areas of blowing snow.

In Maryland, Garrett and Extreme Western Allegany Counties. In West Virginia, Western Grant and Western Mineral Counties.
Winter Weather Advisory, until 6 AM EDT early this morning. For the second Winter Weather Advisory, from 6 PM this evening to 9 AM EDT Tuesday.

Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Snow squalls look to impact the Interstate 68, US-219, US-48, and US-40 corridor later this afternoon and into the early evening hours. Plan for brief periods of reduced visibility and hazardous travel conditions.

Instructions: Slow down and use caution while traveling. When venturing outside, watch your first few steps taken on steps, sidewalks, and driveways, which could be icy and slippery, increasing your risk of a fall and injury.
