On Monday, December 13, 2021 at approximately 1:08 AM, officers of the Cumberland Police Department responded to UPMC Western Maryland in reference to a disturbance. Officers contacted the staff who advised that Joanna Wagus was refusing to leave the facility. Officers contacted Wagus and advised her that she needed to leave the property. Wagus still refused to leave. She was placed under arrest and transported to the police station. Wagus was released on a criminal citation pending trial.
