Since April of 2021, West Virginia’s Department of Health and Human Services has been distributing American Rescue Plan Act stabilization funding to child care providers across the state. September was scheduled as the last month for payments but remaining funds means an additional payment will be forthcoming. Qualified child care providers will automatically receive the extra payment which will be slightly less than the monthly amount they had been receiving.
