WV to Open Casinos and Theaters Friday

West Virginia continues its reopening this week, as the Mountain State is into week six of Governor Jim Justice’s Comeback plan. The state’s five casinos and movie theatres are allowed to open this Friday. Over this past weekend, pools, limited video lottery operations and other businesses saw their first opportunity to open since March. Also last week, museums and visitor centers could reopen, along with state park cabins and lodges – for in-state visitors only – and bars, with capacity reduced by 50 percent. In his daily COVID-19 briefing Tuesday morning, Governor Justice remained upbeat about the state’s numbers and adding that he is convinced a vaccine is close at hand…

      Uh, WV has 1.7 million people total in a mostly rural state. MD has over 6 million people mostly packed into the DC/Balt corridor. Although yeah, western MD is more like WV.

    Wonderful! Go to the theatre and watch a re-release of Outbreak, then head on over to the casino and win you some money to help pay your hospital costs for Covid-19! I wouldn’t expect anything less than stupidity from WV legislature!
