Black Bear Hunt Over

The Maryland Department of Natural Resources says this year's black bear hunt is over. The agency says hunters reported 65 kills as of 9p.m. Thursday. The DNR had set a quota of 55 to 80 for the season. Officials say 59 of the bears were taken in Garrett County. Six were from Allegany County. Hunting was limited to those two counties.
