The following is the Cumberland Police Log for August 29, 2011:
Arrest Warrant Served;
On August 29, 2011 the Cumberland City Police Department served an arrest warrant on David Lee Kesler Jr. Kesler was taken to District Court for his initial appearance at which time he was released on his personal recognizance.
Arrested: David Lee Kesler Jr Age: 19 Cumberland, MD
Charges: Two counts of harassment, stalking and indecent exposure.
Assault
On August 29, 2011 at approximately 10:05 p.m., the Cumberland City Police Department responded to a residence in the 600 block of Maryland Avenue in reference to an assault. Upon the Officers arrival they were advised that an argument over rent took place between several subjects. During the argument, Tia Marie Jones picked up a sword which was in a sheath. Jones threatened two subjects with the sword. The victims were not injured. Jones was placed under arrest and transported to Police Headquarters for processing. Jones was taken to District court for her initial appearance and held on $5,000.00 at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Charges:
Two counts of first degree assault, two counts of second degree assault, two counts of reckless endangerment, two counts of possessing a deadly weapon with intent to injure.
