On Friday just after 11 p.m. officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the 100blk of Pennsylvania Ave in reference to an assault complaint. Upon arrival Officers interviewed the victim who stated that she got into an argument with the suspect. The suspect; Deborah Ann Miller, 54yoa from Cumberland then struck the victim in the side of the head causing a small laceration. A small cut was observed on the victim consistent with her account of the incident. The victim did not require medical attention. At this time Miller was placed under arrest and charged with one count of Assault Second Degree. Miller was taken for an initial appearance at District Court where she was released on her personal recognizance.
