Rocky Gap Slots Approved

Almost three and a half years since Maryland voters went to the polls and overwhelming approved five slots locations in the state- Rock Gap State Park finally has an official license holder to begin casino operations. The state's Video Lottery Facility Location Commission approved the proposal Thursday in Annapolis. Evitts Resort LLC is proposing a casino with 850 slot machines. Enrique Melendez is a longtime Maryland resident and principal in the firm, and he tells WCBC News that his firm’s plans are solid and the project will provide a boost for the local economy…
