It was right around 2 p.m. on Friday when a lucky customer purchased the 1.5 millionth chicken dinner sold by the LaVale Lions Club. Prizes were handed out and the local service club celebrated the achievement. Lion Steve Finger tells WCBC News the LaVale Lions Club is the largest in Maryland, with an estimated 100 members. The money raised from the dinners supplies the bulk of the club’s $50,000 annual budget, the majority of which is given away.
