On Saturday at approximately 7:45 PM, Cumberland City Police were dispatched to a residence on Bellevue Street for an assault complaint.
Upon arrival officers spoke to the victim and observed injuries consistent with an assault. Officer located the suspect Kevin Scott Shears and placed him under arrest without issue.
Shears was taken before a District Court Commissioner and was released on his personal recognizance.
Arrested – Kevin Scott Shears (43) Cumberland, MD
Charge – Assault 2nd Degree
