Gun control, the death penalty repeal, tax hikes and marcellus shale were all major points of debate during the 2013 session of the Maryland General Assembly- and on Tuesday local business leaders heard the details. The Allegany County Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday morning hosted the annual legislative wrap-up breakfast at the Cumberland Holiday Inn. State Senator George Edwards and Delegates Kevin Kelly and Wendell Beitzel provided a general overview of the 90 day session, and the wins and losses for western Maryland as a result. Delegate Leroy Myers was unable to attend due to a prior commitment.
