City Man Held Without Bond

On Saturday December 31, 2016, Cumberland City Police served two arrest warrants on Bradley Welsh, age 25 of Cumberland, Maryland. The first warrant was issued by a private business in Frostburg, Maryland where Welsh was previously employed. Over a one week period, Welsh was voiding transactions for services rendered and keeping the monies received. The second warrant served was as a result of a December 18, 2016 Robbery investigation that occurred on Memorial Avenue in Cumberland, Maryland. Investigation into this matter revealed that Welsh approached the victim and asked for a cigarette.

The victim walked away and a few minutes later heard footsteps and was tackled to the ground by Welsh as he demanded her money. Welsh grabbed the victim’s phone, threw it and pulled her hair down the street until he was able to get the money from her purse. Welsh was processed, served and taken to the Allegany County District Court Commissioner’s Office for a bond review. He was held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.

Warrant 1: Theft-Scheme Less than $1,000.00, Theft less

than $100.00 (x6).

Warrant 2: Assault 1st & 2nd Degree, Conspiracy (x2),

Reckless Endangerment, Theft less than $1,000.00, Robbery.
