City Police Makes Arrest in Disturbance

On February 11th, 2020, The Cumberland City Police responded to the 600 block of Bedford St for the report of a disturbance. Upon arrival on scene, officers contacted a victim who advised that a male subject, identified as Brandon Arthur Simpson, had just come to the residence and created a disturbance. They advised Simpson was intoxicated and accused them of stealing a phone from them. When told to leave, Simpson picked up a chair and threw it threw a window of the residence. Simpson was able to be located a short distance away and taken into custody. Simpson was charged with Disorderly Conduct, Destruction of Property, and Disturbing the Peace. Simpson was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his Initial Appearance where he was released on his own personal recognizance.

Arrested:  Brandon Arthur Simpson          Age: 27,    Cumberland MD

Charges: Destruction of Property, Disorderly Conduct, Disturb the Peace.

    This guy is a “frequent flyer” with jail & breaking the law. I thought he was in jail? Another plea bargain?
