On Tuesday, January 15th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Christopher Allen Martin.  The warrant was issued by Circuit Court when Martin failed to appear for trial on January 8th, 2019 on an assault charge.  When he was taken into custody by officers, Martin was found to be in the possession of a hypodermic syringe that he admitted used to inject CDS.  Martin was charged and taken before the District Court Commissioner for the possession of controlled paraphernalia.  He was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held on a $5,000 bond for the paraphernalia charge and held without bond on the Circuit Court warrant.

Martin was also served a criminal summons while in custody charging him with CDS possession not marihuana, theft, and possession of controlled paraphernalila from an investigation that occurred on January 9th, 2019 on Kent Avenue.
